Abstrak

Penelitian ini bertujuan menelaah bagaimana e-Court diterapkan dalam lingkungan peradilan berdasarkan Peraturan Mahkamah Agung (Perma) No. 1 Tahun 2019. Penelitian ini menerapkan pendekatan Yuridis empiris. Hasil Penelitian menunjukkan bahwa e-Court dalam penerapannya khusus di Pengadilan Negeri Biak diterapkan hanya sampai pada proses e-Payment. Selain dari pada itu, Pengadilan Negeri Biak belum menerapkan secara maksimal aplikasi e-Court ini, disebabkan adanya Surat Sekretaris Mahkamah Agung Republik Indonesia No. 630/SEK/SK/VII/2019 yang menjelaskan bahwa pengadilan yang ditunjuk sebagai percontohan dalam melakukan penerapan e-Court dalam lingkungan peradilan. Selain itu, untuk menunjang penerapan e-Court yang baik diperlukan sumber daya manusia yang memahami literasi digital guna mewujudkan peradilan yang cepat dan berbiaya ringan.
